My IT Experience.
I’m Qais Abdullah Al-Balusshi, this is my first semester in IT Faculty. I have been in IT field for 8 years. I studied IT for two years in my country (Sultanate of Oman) and I got Information Technology High National Diploma (HND). Then I worked in Oman Refinery Company for 6 years as help desk technician for 4 years and after that I have been promoted to IT infrastructure supervisor in the same company and I was looking after the company’s network devices and servers for 2 years. Moreover, I have quite good experience in IT field especially in work environment and I have the following IT Certificates.
- MCSE in windows 2000 server.
- Network + certificate.
- A+ (Computer Hardware) certificate.
- CA Brightstor Backup system certificate from Dubai.
- SMS (System Management Service) 2003 certificate from Dubai.
- Network Management certificate.
I have selected Bond University to continue my study to get bachelor of Information Technology. I would like to gain more knowledge and skills in IT as much as possible, because I like this field and it is interesting for me. The whole period of working in Oman Refinery Company I never felt boring because my job was interesting and I was learning different things everyday. I also like browsing the net, reading online newspapers and look for information for my assignments.
